Dr. Fred C. Cooper, PE, of Cooper Zietz Engineers, Inc. (CZE) announces the merger of Cascade Design Professionals, Inc. (CDP) with CZE. This merger of the two Native American owned firms formally cements a long-term business relationship and will allow us to capitalize on the opportunity to cross-sell our services to existing clients and expand our capabilities to include construction management, construction inspection, quality assurance and commissioning expertise in addition to our civil, structural, and environmental engineering services.

The merger caps years of planning and working together and will allow us to enhance services to our existing customers in Indian Country and throughout the U.S. Under the merger, CDP will operate independently as a division of CZE. Dr. Cooper will become CZE’s Chairman of the Board, and CDP Founder Herb Fricke, PE, will assume the role of CZE President and CEO. Paul Kluvers, PE, SE, has been named CDP General Manager.
